Program Overview

The Drafting and Design program immerses students in a project-based curriculum focused on one of the following industries: Architecture Design, Structural Design, Civil Design, Interior Design, Manufacturing Design, and Additive Manufacturing Design. Students receive one-on-one aid from experienced instructors, review best practices, and focus on industry standards. All courses are computer-intensive and competency-based.

Eve: M-Th 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Rex Thornock

Rex received a drafting certificate from Ogden-Weber Area Vocational Center in 1987. He has nine years of industry experience as a CAD drafter working for Chromalox, Fram Inc., Bourn’s Sensors/Controls, and KHI Engineers prior to receiving the CAD drafting instructor position here at the 91 in 1996. In 2006, he received an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Design Graphics Engineering Technology from Weber State University.
